Responsibilities
- Establish company-wide technical standards and share engineering best practices.
- Deliver large cross-team and cross-domain projects and initiatives.
- Own products and services end-to-end from requirements through production deployment.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, highly available backend products and microservices.
- Lead architectural decisions and solve complex technical problems with maintainable solutions.
- Act as the technical lead for a team, shape its culture and ways of working, and mentor fellow engineers while coding alongside them.
- Collaborate in small, autonomous, agile, cross-functional teams serving global card payment products.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on backend engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java or another general-purpose programming language.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability products and microservices.
- Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments, preferably AWS or comparable Azure/GCP experience, including containerized deployments and cloud workflows.
- Strong grasp of clean code principles and excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly across a diverse team.
- Results-oriented, collaborative, pragmatic approach to software delivery with a commitment to continuous improvement.
