Base Salary
$110k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability of NetBox deployments and updates.
- Establish enterprise-wide data-governance policies and documentation so NetBox remains a reliable source of truth.
- Create automated tools to maintain accurate and current NetBox data.
- Maintain compatibility and stability for automation using NetBox REST and GraphQL APIs as upstream changes are introduced.
- Drive clean and reproducible automation for server and network devices based on networking hardware and infrastructure data.
- Implement and extend monitoring and alerting for NetBox and related deployment processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across teams and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Professional development experience with one or more of Python, Go, Rust, or C.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Linux, and Bash.
- Enterprise experience deploying and maintaining NetBox and/or Nautobot.
- Hands-on experience architecting and implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Ansible and Terraform with NetBox as a DCIM/IPAM source of truth.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, and OAuth.
- Understanding of hardware and network architecture in large-scale data center environments.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic-thinking, collaboration, and integration-detail skills.
- Industry certifications in network architecture and operations, site reliability engineering, or data center operations are beneficial.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, 8+ years of systems architecture and design experience, 6+ years with open-source frameworks, 4+ years with a cloud service, and 3+ years of technical leadership experience are desired.
- Experience with OpenStack is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
