Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build responsive web applications for customer service and collections associates.
- Develop Angular user interfaces and C#/.NET middle-tier services using BFF patterns.
- Build and maintain APIs and integration services connecting web applications with backend systems and third-party services.
- Integrate applications with enterprise systems, including CarMax Auto Finance’s Alfa loan accounting platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to translate processes into tools and workflows.
- Support design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and production support across the software lifecycle.
- Improve application performance, usability, reliability, and scalability.
- Develop unit and integration tests and support secure handling of authentication, authorization, encryption, and sensitive data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of professional experience building full-stack web applications with modern front-end interfaces and middle-tier/API services.
- Proficiency with Angular 17+ and Angular Material, C# and .NET 8+, YARP, SSO authentication, and mutual TLS.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
- Working knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, including basic SQL query writing and optimization.
- Strong understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, encryption, and handling personally identifiable information.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, preferably using Spectator, Jasmine, and Playwright.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, reusable libraries, NuGet, Microsoft Azure, and application deployment and support.
- Preferred qualifications include internal operational or workflow application development, financial-system integrations, microservices or distributed systems, Agile development, CI/CD, build automation, release management, IIS configuration, automated performance testing, and regulated-data environments.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

- Hybrid work arrangement based at the Richmond, Virginia Corporate Office, with Richmond associates working onsite 4 days per week.

- Full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates can earn up to 48 hours of sick time annually and 80–200 hours of vacation annually after a 90-day waiting period, depending on tenure.
- Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away as needed for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
- Eligible associates may receive holiday premium pay when working on a scheduled holiday due to business needs.
- The role may be eligible for bonus and equity.
