Responsibilities
- Automate legacy and manual deployment processes and own CI/CD pipelines for Omnitracs across on-premises and AWS environments.
- Create and maintain deployment pipelines across development, QA, and production.
- Design reliable continuous deployment solutions that improve availability and uptime.
- Optimize operational costs, resource utilization, and capacity across on-premises and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot Omnitracs environments and support development and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Track and address vulnerabilities, maintain documentation and training materials, and participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or equivalent; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience driving CI/CD for systems deployed to cloud providers, with AWS proficiency highly desirable.
- At least 2 years of experience in a 24x7x365 global SaaS/PaaS operation.
- At least 2 years of experience with virtualization and Docker containers.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell, batch, bash, or Python, or equivalent.
- Preferred candidates have at least 2 years of experience with a large portion of the listed CI/CD and infrastructure technologies and can design complex systems using multiple technologies.
- Strong ownership, organizational skills, urgency, collaboration, security awareness, and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams are preferred.
