Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end configuration management to ensure software reproducibility throughout the product lifecycle.
- Control configuration changes and maintain the integrity of baselines, archives, releases, and configuration items.
- Plan, track, document, and report configuration management activities with project managers.
- Translate software architecture concepts into configuration management implementations with architects, test and integration managers, and IT.
- Define, maintain, deploy, and continuously improve configuration management processes, procedures, tools, and methodologies.
- Provide configuration data and status to developers, end users, and customers and conduct configuration audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, informatics, computer science, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience in software configuration management and/or product development.
- Experience with software development methodologies including Agile, SAFe, Scrum, and the V-model.
- Strong technical knowledge of configuration item identification, version control, build management, release management, and change management.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub; broader configuration management tool experience is advantageous.
- Experience with build and test automation tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Software development experience in C# and C++ and scripting experience in Python.
- Healthcare product development experience is advantageous.
- Initiative, problem-solving ability, strong communication skills, self-direction, and a continuous improvement mindset.
