Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud-based application and infrastructure solutions.
- Guide customers through cloud transformation using DevOps practices, tools, and cultural principles.
- Design and code infrastructure, application, and process modules.
- Automate cloud-native technologies, deploy applications, and provision infrastructure.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, or comparable tools.
- Support cloud-native CI/CD workflows and deployment processes.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade internal computer hardware and software systems.
- Manage user access and passwords.
- Implement system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
- Monitor system usage and performance.
- Train personnel on system usage.
- Troubleshoot server, software, and hardware issues.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend software and hardware products.
- Support web access and electronic messaging services while maintaining a secure systems environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant equivalent work experience.
- At least five years of professional experience.
- At least three years of experience as an AWS Engineer.
- Experience automating cloud-native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other tools, including production Terraform experience.
- Working knowledge of cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, or GitLab.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architectures, including containers, Kubernetes, or serverless technology.
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring and log aggregation frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, SysOps Administrator, or Developer Associate are preferred.
- Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills are preferred.
- Ability to work effectively across organizations and engagements, preferably in a professional services organization or similar environment.
