Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture, development, deployment, and production support of enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS Cloud, and Amazon EKS.
- Design scalable, secure, highly available application architectures, microservices, APIs, integrations, event-driven components, and data flows.
- Define design patterns, coding standards, reusable frameworks, security guidelines, and engineering best practices, and conduct architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Design and manage AWS and EKS clusters, networking, ingress, storage, namespaces, autoscaling, workload isolation, and disaster recovery.
- Guide containerization and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, and Amazon ECR.
- Design CI/CD pipelines for builds, testing, quality checks, security scanning, image creation, deployment, validation, and rollback.
- Establish Infrastructure as Code and automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, patching, and release activities.
- Implement DevSecOps controls for identity, secrets, certificates, encryption, dependency scanning, container security, Kubernetes access, network policies, and compliance.
- Define monitoring, logging, tracing, health checks, dashboards, and alerting using observability tools.
- Lead P1 and P2 production-incident resolution, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, self-healing, and automated remediation.
- Establish support models, service-level objectives, runbooks, knowledge articles, capacity planning, resilience testing, performance optimization, and disaster-recovery processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development, DevOps, and support teams.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of software development or DevOps experience.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of AWS Cloud services, including EKS, EC2, and Lambda.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues and performing root-cause analysis with After Action Reports.
- Experience with cloud or on-premises backup solutions.
- Knowledge of Bash or Python scripting.
- Experience using ticketing tools such as JIRA or ServiceNow.
- Strong debugging skills and experience addressing high-priority P1 and P2 issues.
