Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain frontend and backend business applications.
- Build APIs, integration services, and user-facing functionality for liquidity and information management solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Improve code quality through reviews, automated testing, refactoring, and engineering best practices.
- Own services throughout development and production operations, including monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Improve observability, alerting, reliability, operational resilience, and self-healing automation.
- Participate in on-call and production support rotations when required.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly for development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge discovery.
- Maintain compliance with security, privacy, governance, DORA, risk, resilience, disaster recovery, and service continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, DevOps engineers, stakeholders, and international teams.
- Share knowledge, mentor less experienced engineers, and contribute to engineering standards and platform modernization.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience with a JVM language and related technology stack.
- Hands-on experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 4.x, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate, REST or gRPC APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility, security, and a modern UI framework such as Lit-HTML, Angular, React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, JMS, Kafka, relational databases, and database performance tuning.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Confluence, CI/CD pipeline definition, and DevOps activities across the software lifecycle.
- Experience testing code with JUnit, Mockito, JGiven, Cucumber, or Karate, plus knowledge of Playwright for web testing and automation.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, HTTP/1 and HTTP/2, messaging, RPCs, Domain-Driven Design, and architectural patterns including monoliths and microservices.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s-level education in Computer Science, Cybernetics, Software Engineering, Financial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Preferred experience includes JMeter or Gatling performance testing, application metrics and profiling, Elastic Stack log querying, IT security concepts, and Kotlin or other programming languages.
- Advanced English proficiency is required.
