Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and govern a comprehensive testing strategy across all STACKIT IaaS products.
- Build reusable automated test primitives and scaffolding for OpenStack, Kubernetes, and distributed API backends and middleware.
- Integrate automated test reporting and release gates into development and deployment workflows.
- Shift testing earlier in the development lifecycle and improve pipeline performance while maximizing meaningful code coverage.
- Validate infrastructure reliability, defect prevention, and performance limits under load.
- Cover unit, integration, stage/smoke, system, live system, acceptance, configuration, disaster recovery, and performance testing.
Requirements
- Extensive senior-level experience as a Test Architect, SDET, or Backend Engineer designing testing architectures for complex distributed systems, cloud environments, or infrastructure.
- Excellent programming skills in Golang and Python.
- Deep hands-on experience testing backend systems involving Linux, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and complex REST/gRPC APIs.
- Proven experience defining testing strategies across the full testing pyramid.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies, infrastructure-as-code, and automated production deployment safety and readiness verification.
