Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end product development for switching solutions as a service architect.
- Build full-stack, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, event-driven architectures, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Ensure quality, performance, information security, and other non-functional requirements are met.
- Guide and mentor development teams and train developers on required technologies.
- Coordinate with business owners, product owners, enterprise architecture teams, product teams, vendors, and other global stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to improve automation, defect metrics, and overall quality, and conduct proofs of concept.
- Select the tools, technologies, and design patterns used to implement services.
- Follow Mastercard security policies, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected breaches, and complete required security training.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Java, object-oriented design, clean programming, and SOLID design principles.
- Strong experience developing products with digital-native architecture, Spring Boot, and cloud technology, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and modern caching and persistence mechanisms.
- Extensive experience developing online, real-time application features.
- Ability to analyze business needs and create technical solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and organization skills across distributed teams and vendors.
- Experience working in an Agile, SAFe development environment.
- Ability to guide teams on technology and collaborate with business, architecture, development, and testing stakeholders.
