Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support the AWS OpenSearch platform managing thousands of search domains.
- Contribute to open-source code and the managed OpenSearch service.
- Work with senior engineers to deliver components across the technology stack.
- Improve scalability, performance, robustness, automation, optimization, and cost efficiency for distributed cloud systems.
- Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict and evaluate platform and design outcomes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to support the smooth 24x7 operation of the worldwide service.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
