Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for middleware platforms using Chef InSpec, Jenkins, Ansible, and custom frameworks.
- Validate middleware configurations across on-premises and cloud environments against infrastructure standards.
- Translate requirements into testable automation scenarios with Product DRIs, automation developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain regression, integration, system validation, and other test coverage for Tomcat, MQ, WebSphere, and RDQM.
- Analyze test results, log defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Support Day 2 operations testing and readiness validation for middleware deployments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of QA testing and 2 years of hands-on test automation experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Java, TestNG, JUnit, Selenium, Git, Bitbucket, Chef InSpec, Jenkins, Ansible, and custom automation frameworks.
- Proficiency across software testing phases, including planning, design, execution, defect tracking, reporting, regression, smoke and sanity, compatibility, system functional, and user acceptance testing.
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and automation standards and best practices, including XPath axes and CSS selectors.
- Experience with ALM, JIRA, defect triaging, defect status reporting, and defect tracking.
- Experience configuring Maven dependencies and maintaining pom.xml files.
- Ability to write simple to medium-complexity SQL queries and interpret technical designs and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
