Base Salary
$170k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a small engineering group developing end-to-end Android and Linux system software solutions.
- Develop software across Android user space and Linux kernel space while optimizing resource usage and following Android and Linux programming principles.
- Collaborate with systems, multimedia, architecture, internal cross-functional teams, and external Android OS development teams.
- Develop and modify Android frameworks, native daemons and services, AIDL HALs, Linux kernel code, and device drivers.
- Debug system software using T32, gdb, Android tombstones, and crash analysis tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 6+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree with 5+ years; or a PhD with 4+ years.
- 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong knowledge of operating-system fundamentals, data structures, the Linux kernel, and the device-driver model.
- Hands-on experience with Java, C++ libraries/JNI, Python, Android application frameworks, Android native daemons/services, AIDL HALs, and Linux/Unix system programming.
- Experience with T32, gdb, Android tombstones, crash utility, Git, Android Make, Android Tools, Android Studio, and ADB.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 10+ years of software engineering experience, Linux kernel driver development, kernel modification, and Python-based AI/ML software development.
