Base Salary
$165k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX
- Create applications that improve SpaceX operations
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints
- Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
- Analyze users’ problems and create efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline and 5+ years of professional software development experience, or 7+ years of professional software experience in lieu of a degree
- 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience
- Programming experience in Python, C#, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language
- At least 1 year of rigorous experience building single-page web applications
- Experience designing software systems and improving application performance
- Experience with testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, monitoring, version control, and continuous delivery concepts
- Experience with build systems, package management tools, and UNIX-like operating systems
- Experience with in-stream data processing technologies
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Front-end experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar database technologies
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
