Responsibilities
- Build and operate backend systems serving AI-powered features in production.
- Design inference pipelines, orchestration layers, and service boundaries around models.
- Own monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response for production systems.
- Optimize latency and throughput across inference, caching, batching, and streaming.
- Deliver reliable, scalable backend systems and stable APIs that integrate with frontend and ML systems.
- Use real-world usage to iteratively improve performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals in production environments.
- Experience running high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Familiarity with AI inference patterns, including LLMs, embeddings, and multimodal systems.
- Comfort debugging distributed systems under load.
- Ability to ship, learn from production behavior, exercise judgment, and execute independently.
