Base Salary
$127k - $237k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement enterprise AI systems involving RAG, autonomous agents, multi-step reasoning, AI orchestration, APIs, microservices, and modern web UIs.
- Lead AI technical strategy, proof-of-concept evaluation, adoption of emerging techniques, and translation of AI research into technical roadmaps.
- Make architecture decisions, translate business requirements into scalable specifications, and mentor senior and junior software engineers.
- Champion MLOps, LLMOps, AI model lifecycle governance, model risk management, ethical AI, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Design testing, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization for AI systems at scale.
- Collaborate with AI researchers, engineering, design, and product teams to launch and scale AI-driven enterprise applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 4 years in senior or lead roles focused on AI/ML.
- Professional experience building Generative AI, RAG, or LLM solutions across discovery, architecture, agentic tools, evaluation, deployment, lifecycle, and metrics.
- Strong backend services and API development skills and expert-level proficiency in an object-oriented programming language.
- Extensive experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX, plus knowledge of ML principles, evaluation methodologies, distributed systems, and enterprise AI application lifecycles.
- Advanced AWS and orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, including integrating AI models into production systems through APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
- Leadership and mentoring experience, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and senior-stakeholder influence skills.
- Experience leading teams building AI-driven systems, agent-based architectures, or enterprise integrations with AI APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- Advanced knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and information retrieval.
- Experience in legal, tax, accounting, investigative search, or other regulated industries; successful AI product launches; enterprise scaling; AI governance; model risk management; regulatory compliance; publications, patents, or AI/ML speaking experience.
