Responsibilities
- Identify product and application security threats and areas of weakness for improvement.
- Participate in development and operations activities as a Security Engineer.
- Build and support security tools and processes using software development and coding skills.
- Maintain code management, source code management, DevOps activities, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Support internal security team efforts and cross-functional initiatives.
- Serve as a primary security contact for regional engineering teams.
- Help engineering teams adopt secure development practices and processes.
- Execute product security and vulnerability management processes, including issue triage and closure tracking.
- Provide support for regional and global security initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related engineering field is highly desirable.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in software development, coding, DevOps, and CI/CD.
- Experience with object-oriented programming and C++ is especially relevant.
- Knowledge of software development environments, IT risks, and implementing security solutions.
- Ability to communicate and enforce security measures across a broad range of personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communication, technical documentation, diagramming, and presentation skills.
- Meaningful technical contributions to product, application, or service development lifecycles with guidance from senior team members.
- Preferred experience with IT applications, embedded systems or software, web applications, Git, Linux kernel and networking security features, cloud and on-premises applications, Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS.
- Familiarity with boot loaders, compilers, debuggers, disassemblers, security protection circumvention, and reverse engineering of complex systems and protocols.
- CISSP, CEH, or equivalent advanced security qualifications are a plus but are not required.
