Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements for SAP FICO, SAP ECC AFS, and SAP S/4HANA enhancements, customizations, and transformation capabilities.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and debug ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and integration components.
- Create and modify SAP FICO functionality, including custom enhancements, user exits, interfaces, and extensions.
- Support SAP ECC AFS and S/4HANA operations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and S/4 transformation workstreams.
- Assess custom code, data dependencies, interfaces, reports, and enhancements for S/4HANA remediation, simplification, and future-state support.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, analysts, architects, integration teams, product owners, and scrum teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Communicate technical options, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ABAP programmer focused on SAP FICO modules and enterprise finance processes.
- Proficiency in ABAP programming, SAP development tools, debugging, performance tuning, and technical design documentation.
- Strong understanding of SAP FICO customization, enhancement, integration, and support across SAP ECC AFS and SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience with SAP data models, master data, financial processes, interfaces, reports, and custom objects.
- Exposure to S/4HANA simplification or migration considerations is preferred.
- Proven experience delivering ABAP solutions for complex finance technology or ERP requirements.
- Strong independent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- SAP certification in ABAP programming, S/4HANA development, or relevant SAP modules is a plus.
