Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software solutions.
- Lead technical design discussions, implementation approaches, and delivery of complex features across multiple contributors.
- Own the design, delivery, scalability, performance, reliability, and ongoing technical health of assigned systems and services.
- Investigate complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve monitoring and observability with DevOps and Platform teams.
- Contribute to architecture, modernization, technical debt reduction, operational practices, and engineering process improvements.
- Conduct code and design reviews, mentor Software Engineers, and provide technical guidance.
- Use and promote AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows across coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Support, DevOps, and Engineering teams on planning, execution, risks, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong TypeScript fluency and significant experience building production web applications and services.
- Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, and modern frontend and backend development.
- Experience designing and supporting scalable production systems, relational databases such as MySQL, and Docker.
- Good understanding of networking concepts for modern web and distributed applications.
- Strong system design, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
- Preferred experience includes cloud platforms, serverless applications, distributed systems, Azure/Azure Functions or AWS Lambda, event-driven architectures, messaging, asynchronous processing, NoSQL, caching, application security, observability, Kubernetes, and modern UI/design systems.
- Exposure to PHP, AngularJS, Java, or C# is beneficial or a plus.
