Responsibilities

  • Engineer reliability into a large-scale Azure SaaS platform.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and reliability metrics with engineering teams.
  • Build automation to reduce operational risk and eliminate manual toil.
  • Analyze incidents end-to-end and translate findings into structural improvements.
  • Debug and optimize complex production issues across application code, services, and infrastructure.
  • Improve the use of metrics, logs, and traces to understand system behavior.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, and support teams.
  • Contribute to incident response with a focus on learning and prevention.
  • Support deployment strategies and execution.
  • Provide advanced technical support for user issues.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Strong production experience with monitoring, alerting, and observability.
  • Experience with Datadog, Grafana, Log Analytics, and/or Prometheus.
  • Ability to design and work with SLIs, SLOs, and reliability metrics.
  • Hands-on production coding experience, preferably with C#/.NET.
  • Experience building automation to improve reliability and reduce toil.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major public cloud provider such as AWS or GCP.
  • Comfort working with live production systems and customer data.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, including direct interaction with users.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Nice to have experience with distributed systems or large SaaS platforms.
  • Nice to have SQL knowledge and understanding of relational databases.
  • Nice to have experience in regulated or compliance-sensitive environments.
