Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own software development work end to end, from understanding business problems through designing, developing, deploying, and operating solutions.
- Build and improve tools, services, applications, scalable data pipelines, and analytics platforms for the podcast and advertising ecosystem.
- Develop and scale APIs and software systems with strong attention to code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, stakeholders, and customers on planning and project delivery.
- Write and review code, architect new systems, troubleshoot production issues, investigate root causes, and resolve defects.
- Participate in an on-call rotation when required and maintain communication during incidents.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Professional programming experience in at least one software programming language.
- Experience building scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms with technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, Druid, Redshift, and AWS services.
- Fluency with Ruby on Rails and RubyGems.
- Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs and familiarity with the JSON:API specification.
- Knowledge of MVC, mocking, and object-oriented programming patterns.
- Experience using GitLab CI/CD for continuous integration and delivery.
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock and building AI agents is preferred.
