Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate applications and services supporting subscription products.
- Own technical solutions through design, implementation, deployment, observability, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and developer workflows.
- Configure, operate, troubleshoot, and improve self-hosted engineering platforms such as Jenkins and Airflow.
- Develop Java backend services and APIs, use Node.js for supporting services and tooling, and contribute to React and JavaScript/TypeScript applications.
- Build automation, observability, and developer tooling that improve reliability, repeatability, and engineering productivity.
- Participate in on-call rotation, incident diagnosis, mitigation, communication, and post-incident improvement.
- Drive solutions for technical debt, operational bottlenecks, and reliability issues.
- Communicate technical decisions and mentor engineers across teams.
- Use AI extensively for development, infrastructure, troubleshooting, automation, incident investigation, documentation, and operational workflows.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience designing, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting production workloads.
- 4+ years of production experience with CI/CD, deployment automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
- 3+ years of backend development experience with Java and 2+ years of professional Node.js experience.
- Experience administering and operating self-hosted engineering platforms such as Jenkins, Airflow, or comparable technologies.
- Experience with cloud architecture, networking, IAM, security, scalability, reliability, Infrastructure as Code, containers, and production operations.
- Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or comparable Infrastructure as Code technologies, plus Docker and ECS.
- Experience with observability, on-call support, incident response, and post-incident remediation.
- Ability to independently drive complex technical work, communicate across organizational boundaries, and contribute to application code.
- Significant hands-on use of AI-assisted engineering tools, with concrete examples of applying AI to engineering workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of AWS, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure experience; 5+ years of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code; 5+ years of Java; 3+ years of Node.js; 2+ years of React or a comparable frontend framework; deep AWS CDK, Jenkins, Airflow, observability, platform engineering, mentoring, and advanced AI-assisted engineering experience.
