Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and architecture of Cisco NSO-based network automation systems.
- Design and deliver template-less services using MAAPI, including stacked and composite services with full CRUD lifecycle ownership.
- Develop production-grade Python services and YANG models with transaction-safe and idempotent workflows.
- Integrate NSO with RESTCONF, APIs, mid-tier orchestration, ServiceNow, and the REFLEX platform.
- Automate BGP/MPLS, EVPN, VRF, VLAN, interface, and multi-cloud connectivity provisioning.
- Guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive standards for scalability, resilience, observability, security, and code reuse.
- Contribute to pytest and Robot Framework testing, GitLab pipelines, and Docker-based deployments.
Requirements
- Strong Cisco NSO expertise with mandatory, hands-on MAAPI experience.
- Advanced Python development experience, including template-less service design and YANG modeling.
- Experience with service-provider networking, including BGP/MPLS and EVPN.
- Experience with Cisco IOS-XR, Cisco NX-OS, and Arista EOS platforms.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, RESTCONF, Linux, Docker, GitLab, and cloud networking.
- Experience with AWS, including EC2 and S3, plus Azure, GCP, and multi-cloud networking concepts.
- Experience with pytest, Robot Framework, service lifecycle design, automation frameworks, and production-scale network automation.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, make architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and communicate technical strategy and trade-offs.
