Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, test, and ship reliable software features across the full development lifecycle.
- Develop laboratory-facing platforms and full-stack software or AI-native internal enterprise tools, depending on team placement.
- Direct AI coding agents, review and correct their output, and determine when human-led development is required.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, address feedback, surface blockers proactively, and take on increasing ownership of projects.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Go, Python, Java, or a similar language; TypeScript or scripting experience is relevant for Enterprise Tools roles.
- Experience connecting APIs and working with databases.
- Familiarity with cloud fundamentals such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience directing and reviewing AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Readable-code, testing, problem-solving, proactive-work, adaptability, and English communication skills.
- Preferred: experience with internal tools, enterprise integrations, Google Workspace, Slack, AWS APIs, LIMS, regulated software systems, HIPAA, ISO, FDA, AWS technologies, serverless infrastructure, or startup environments.
