Base Salary
$130k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the long-term technical direction for tools supporting team structure and roadmap delivery.
- Define scalable system orchestration patterns across diverse application architectures and maturity levels.
- Make architectural tradeoffs involving reliability, operability, and development speed.
- Integrate vendor and bespoke platforms to create unified developer experiences.
- Develop software development and system ownership practices across the technology organization.
- Establish standards and source-of-truth practices for team organization and access management.
- Lead technology planning and execution across organizations in an AI-first environment.
- Connect data and technology outcomes to business goals and KPIs.
- Mentor and grow engineers while cultivating an engineering culture focused on product success and reliability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in fault tolerance, resilience, recovery design, and reasoning about partial failure.
- Proven organization-level technical leadership beyond a single team.
- Experience shaping shared platforms or frameworks used by many teams.
- Preferred experience with durable execution or workflow orchestration.
- Preferred experience with Golang, microservices, Kubernetes, and developer tooling; front-end experience is a plus.
- Experience using observability and success metrics for data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate technical risks into clear business and reliability outcomes.
