Responsibilities
- Propose and improve project test plans with an emphasis on test automation.
- Design, maintain, execute, and analyze test cases across unit, component, integration, system, and end-to-end levels.
- Solve quality engineering problems involving application code, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform exploratory, performance, load, chaos, and fault-tolerance testing.
- Define quality metrics, telemetry, reporting dashboards, and reliable test feedback.
- Collaborate with QA, business analysis, development, and DevOps teams to improve automation and coverage.
- Promote QA best practices and educate teams that quality is everyone’s responsibility.
- Build understanding of business, technical, and operational requirements and improve assurance processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java with experience in automated testing, root cause analysis, and debugging.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, shift-left practices, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with unit, component, integration, system, and end-to-end testing, including exploratory testing and test planning.
- Working knowledge of BDD practices, including story refinement, example mapping, acceptance criteria, and 3 Amigos.
- Experience integrating test execution and static code analysis tools into CI/CD pipelines and maintaining pipeline health.
- Experience building containerized test environments with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of application profiling, performance and memory analysis, performance and load testing, and distributed low-latency messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms, quality metrics, telemetry, and reporting dashboards.
- Hands-on exposure to chaos testing and system fault-tolerance validation.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenShift.
- Knowledge of AI tooling applications in QA workflows.
- Financial services or trading domain experience is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
