Responsibilities
- Contribute to Android architecture, design patterns, technical specifications, and development best practices.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and advise other developers on code quality and craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with backend developers, designers, and product owners to improve user experience and functionality.
- Optimize application performance, including UI responsiveness and memory management.
- Develop prototypes, demonstrate new product ideas, and propose innovative solutions based on industry and operating-system trends.
- Support production issues or hotfixes outside regular office hours when needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in native Android development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java; C++, Rust, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Kotlin Multiplatform are pluses.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading concepts, queues, collections, dispatchers, thread pools, and garbage collectors.
- Strong understanding of MVVM architecture, Kotlin Coroutines, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience writing unit tests and instrumentation/UI tests.
- Knowledge of secure app network connections and secure storage of sensitive data.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience with large-scale mobile applications, GPS data, geofencing, location-based features, and map integrations is valuable.
- Chinese and Mandarin communication skills are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and commitment to polished, bug-free code.
