Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
Own monitoring, logging, alerting, and broader observability using Datadog and related tools.
Architect and manage containerized workloads on ECS Fargate and evaluate Kubernetes migration paths.
Establish security best practices and support financial services compliance requirements.
Design disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
Optimize system performance, cost efficiency, and resource utilization across AWS services.
Improve service reliability, reduce operational toil, and establish SLOs and SLIs with engineering teams.
Participate in incident response and conduct post-mortems.
Mentor engineers on DevOps practices, cloud architecture, and operational excellence.

8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
Expert-level proficiency with AWS services including ECS Fargate, ALB, Cognito, S3, and SQS.
Deep hands-on experience with Terraform in complex, multi-account AWS environments.
Strong scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash.
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS orchestration.
Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, or equivalent observability and monitoring tools.
Deep knowledge of networking, security, and AWS best practices.
Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems and strong problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Startup or early-stage experience is a bonus.
PostgreSQL performance tuning and RDS management experience is a bonus.
