Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve existing and new codebases for quality, stability, and efficiency.
- Support software release processes across multiple branches in coordination with production and engineering teams.
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve critical issues while maintaining system stability.
- Drive release planning, deployment, and rollback procedures.
- Maintain and enhance build, test, and release automation pipelines.
- Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and operational KPIs after releases.
- Collaborate across Creator Platform and broader Rockstar development teams on complex software solutions.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience on a software development team using C++.
- Understanding of computing fundamentals and related terminology.
- Ability to manage large codebases across varied areas and assess the risks of proposed changes.
- Strong problem-solving and C++ debugging skills.
- Understanding of memory layout, including padding and cache efficiency.
- Analytical ability to measure system performance and memory use and communicate solutions.
- Experience with source-control workflows, including branch management, code integration, conflict resolution, and stable development practices.
- Proficiency with GitLab and/or GitHub, including their CI/CD systems.
- Ability to collaborate positively with other departments across Rockstar studios.
- Experience or interest in user-generated content, security engineering, complex-program optimization, crash dumps, and C++ applications for multiple runtime environments are desirable but not required.
