Responsibilities
- Develop and engineer full-stack enterprise applications using Java, React, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Design, document, implement, and maintain front-end and back-end application components, including high-performance APIs.
- Build and support microservices, event-driven services, service-oriented architectures, and cloud-native applications.
- Use Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for service orchestration.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex coding, application performance, design, and production issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective defect resolutions.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Contribute to coding, testing, implementation, technical standards, architecture, and Agile Scrum processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical leadership, management teams, and other developers to deliver sprint goals and product improvements.
- Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance development efficiency and propose AI-informed product approaches.
- Identify, assess, track, and mitigate technical and business risks and streamline recurring processes.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience specializing in Java, JavaScript frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree in computer science, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of modern application architecture, data structures, and object-oriented programming using Java.
- Practical experience using artificial intelligence tools to enhance development workflows.
- Experience with microservices frameworks, event-driven services, cloud-native application development, service-oriented architectures, and microservices.
- Experience implementing REST and GraphQL services and designing high-performance APIs.
- Full-stack experience developing both front-end and back-end web application components.
- Front-end expertise with React, HTML5, and CSS.
- Back-end development experience with Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Comprehensive SQL and PL/SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and OpenShift.
- Experience with AWS is considered a significant advantage.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Experience developing and automating unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Practical experience with code versioning tools, including GitHub Enterprise.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, risk-management, and collaboration skills.
