Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy services to improve system availability and management.
- Architect, build, and scale services and infrastructure.
- Learn and adopt new technologies to address challenges.
- Own systems including Trino and Spark clusters and deployment processes.
- Write, review, and debug production code while developing documentation.
- Contribute to open-source projects as needed.
- Support the Software Engineering team in resolving issues.
- Lead and mentor junior and senior engineers.
- Drive end-to-end project delivery and provide design guidance.
- Navigate vague problems with occasional guidance.
Requirements
- 9+ years in a Software Engineering role or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Linux/Unix system administration.
- Strong skills in reading and writing clean, maintainable code.
- Good knowledge of Python and Java.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable services.
- Experience with high-availability systems.
