Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and dashboards for risk intelligence.
- Develop real-time pipelines for risk evaluation, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection.
- Collaborate with Data Platform, Risk, and Product teams to build automation for monitoring and case management.
- Drive the architecture for reliable, secure, and auditable risk tooling.
- Contribute to compliance frameworks to maintain global regulatory standards.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor engineers in data tooling and backend systems.
- Ensure uptime and reliability for mission-critical systems through on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, PHP).
- Hands-on experience with event-driven development, preferably using Kafka.
- Solid experience with relational database design and query optimization.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining GraphQL and/or RESTful APIs.
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex performance and scalability issues.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling for automated testing.
- Ability to thrive in an agile, iterative software development process.
- Experience using application performance monitoring tools for diagnostics.
