Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable C++ features that enhance platform performance and support critical functionality across the core product suite.
- Develop large-scale endpoint software that defines, enforces, and maintains endpoint behavior and security posture across millions of devices.
- Design and evolve multi-process C++ architectures, IPC contracts, and local state persistence patterns.
- Write design documents and drive technical decisions with limited supervision in a new system with no existing internal architecture.
- Commit production code and ship reliable software while collaborating with Software Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of systems-level C++ engineering experience, with C++14 or newer and C++17 preferred.
- Strong Windows systems programming experience with Windows Registry APIs, Windows Configuration Service Provider, WMI, MDM bridge, process management, Windows services, and named pipes or equivalent IPC.
- Strong macOS systems experience with Apple Endpoint Security, launchd, configuration profiles, or equivalent OS-level configuration APIs.
- Experience with CMake and vcpkg or equivalent C++ build and dependency systems, multi-process architectures, and SQLite or embedded database patterns.
- Ability to design from first principles, work with sparse documentation and undefined requirements, write design documents, and drive technical decisions independently.
- Comfort experimenting with AI tools in the development workflow.
- Preferred experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Linux, eBPF, systemd, kernel modules, D-Bus, cross-platform C++ agents, CIS Benchmarks, endpoint management or MDM tooling, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, WHQL, or driver-signing processes.
