Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions that meet regulatory needs and create customer-facing experiences.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects.
- Refactor systems, reduce technical debt, and improve performance.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional engineering efforts and large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 7+ years coding with multiple specified programming languages, database experience, cloud experience, open-source framework contributions, frontend framework experience, API development, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, AI coding tools, mentoring, and technical leadership.
- Experience establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams is preferred.
