Base Salary
$347k - $490k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve the bridge between the Codex harness and research training infrastructure.
- Own major integration surfaces end-to-end, including architecture, API design, rollout, operations, and long-term maintenance.
- Build reliable, containerized execution systems that support demanding training workloads at scale.
- Partner with research, agent, infrastructure, and platform teams on training use cases and harness capabilities.
- Design stable interfaces and workflows for highly technical internal users.
- Establish durable abstractions and clear ownership to prevent one-off workarounds and technical debt.
- Improve correctness, reliability, operational rigor, and engineering judgment across the research-facing system.
Requirements
- Significant experience building and scaling backend or infrastructure systems in fast-moving environments.
- Deep strength in API design, systems design, and engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with backend platform engineering.
- Strong attention to correctness, reliability, operational quality, and engineering judgment.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts and creating clarity across organizational boundaries.
- Product sense and user empathy for internal platforms and developer tooling.
- Rust experience is a plus.
