Base Salary
$251k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable backend code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and Customer Success to define requirements, technical specifications, and success measures.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and improve application performance, scalability, and security.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Suggest product, technology, and engineering process improvements.
- Implement automated testing and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Engage with the product and users and provide input on how systems and features should be designed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, messaging queues such as AWS SQS, and MongoDB.
- Deep knowledge of backend technologies, engineering best practices, performance optimization, and software quality.
- Understanding of modern web technologies and experience working with large-scale data systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
- Experience with Python, Django, FastAPI, Flask, Airflow, PostgreSQL, or NestJS is preferred or beneficial.
- Experience in AI is preferred.
