Base Salary

$251k - $275k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable backend application code.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, Product, and Customer Success to define requirements, technical specifications, designs, and success measures.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and improve application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
  • Recommend new technologies, product improvements, and engineering practices.
  • Implement automated testing and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for reliable software releases.
  • Engage with customers and contribute product and technical perspectives.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript, Node.js, messaging queues such as AWS SQS, and MongoDB.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with large-scale data systems and modern web technologies.
  • Full Stack knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with Python, Django, FastAPI, or Flask is nice to have.
  • Familiarity with Airflow, PostgreSQL, and NestJS is nice to have.
  • Experience in AI is preferred.
  • Ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
