Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET tenant-management tooling and automation.
- Design and build software solutions and APIs for tenant creation, deletion, renaming, migration, and refresh processes.
- Build tools and frameworks that improve engineering productivity and reduce manual operational work.
- Collaborate with application development teams to improve developer experience and reduce toil.
- Present plans and proposals to engineering leadership.
- Lead projects aligned with Production Engineering objectives.
- Provide guidance to less senior engineers.
- Participate in a 12-hours-on/12-hours-off Production Engineering on-call rotation.
- Use AI-assisted tools for software development, testing, and documentation while maintaining reliability, security, and compliance.
- Apply AI techniques to reduce operational toil and build internal tooling with AI capabilities when appropriate.
Requirements
- Experience working in a software development environment with a strong focus on backend engineering, API design, and internal developer platforms.
- Production-level expertise in object-oriented or scripting languages, preferably Python or C#.
- Familiarity with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure fundamentals in a multi-region microservice architecture.
- Ability to collaborate within a global team and communicate recommendations and proposals effectively.
- Experience critically evaluating AI-generated outputs, identifying failure modes, and applying sound engineering judgment before production deployment.
- Understanding of data quality, context, and access controls when using AI with sensitive production data.
- Interest in continuously learning and adapting as AI tooling evolves within the software development lifecycle.
