Base Salary
$169k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build tools to automate and streamline fleet operations.
- Respond to large-scale fleet events and diagnose and fix critical software and system failures.
- Provide daytime first-line support for operational tickets across software development teams.
- Propose, drive, and implement automation, efficiency, and scalability solutions.
- Support corporate infrastructure systems and perform SQL queries against SQL Server databases.
- Partner with software development teams and provide technical consultation to Amazon internal customers.
- Mentor other engineers and assist with training new engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, plus one year of experience in the offered role, Systems Administrator, or a related occupation.
- Three years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation may substitute for the bachelor's degree and one year of experience requirement.
- At least one year of experience supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services.
- At least one year of experience designing and implementing provisioning platforms using shell scripting.
- At least one year of experience with SQL, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
- At least one year of experience supporting and maintaining database servers such as MySQL or Oracle, or equivalent databases.
- At least one year of experience troubleshooting systemic problems in Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.
