Responsibilities
- Maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform modules, environment configuration, remote state, and reviewed deployment plans.
- Investigate configuration drift and keep infrastructure resources under version control.
- Develop and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including checks, artifacts, approvals, build agents, and service connections.
- Administer Azure Databricks settings, compute resources, permissions, storage access, and deployment configuration.
- Deploy and maintain Azure Functions and configure, monitor, and support Azure Event Hubs.
- Troubleshoot DNS, private endpoints, Entra ID, RBAC, Key Vault, networking, and access issues.
- Maintain monitoring and alerts, investigate incidents with logs and metrics, and escalate complex issues.
- Support production releases and recovery testing, validate services after deployment, and maintain rollback instructions.
- Write operational scripts and runbooks, automate recurring tasks, and reduce unnecessary cloud resource usage through sizing, scheduling, and cleanup.
Requirements
- Around 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role, including practical production-environment experience.
- Hands-on Azure knowledge across compute, storage, networking, identity, security fundamentals, least-privilege access, and secret management.
- Practical Terraform experience with modules, variables, remote state, and safe plan/apply workflows for existing infrastructure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, Git, and pull requests.
- Experience administering cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Databricks, including compute management, permissions, and data access.
- Familiarity with serverless operations, preferably Azure Functions, and Azure Event Hubs concepts including partitions, consumer groups, and retention.
- Ability to automate tasks with Python, PowerShell, or Bash and troubleshoot using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks Unity Catalog or Asset Bundles, Docker, KQL, or cloud cost optimization is preferred.
- Good English communication skills, careful production-change practices, and judgment to seek support when needed.
- Experience using AI assistants for scripting and troubleshooting is welcome.
