Responsibilities
- Implement and operate global, customer-facing SaaS infrastructure.
- Implement file integrity monitoring and automate the collection of audit evidence.
- Implement and harden base images used throughout the company.
- Secure containerized applications and images.
- Collaborate with developers to securely bring new features and services into production.
- Own and implement security improvement projects.
- Handle on-call incidents and participate in a production support rotation.
- Work with cybersecurity on vulnerability and misconfiguration remediation SLAs.
- Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.
- Support information security and compliance standards such as ISO, SOC, and SSAE 16.
Requirements
- Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably in a highly available SaaS or cloud service provider environment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure environments, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Experience with SIRP, SIEM, and IDS/IPS/WAF solutions.
- Experience securing containerized applications and images.
- Experience with file integrity monitoring.
- Experience with release automation, system administration, system configuration, and system debugging.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Ruby or Python.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Puppet, infrastructure as code using Terraform, and command execution frameworks.
- Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, teaming, process-enforcement, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Ability to work in an agile, entrepreneurial startup environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
