Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a designated responsible individual, participate in on-call operations, monitor services, communicate incidents, and restore degraded or interrupted systems.
- Improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of Azure Resource Manager and Service Fabric services.
- Own assigned services across design, development, deployment, maintenance, and parity across cloud environments.
- Create design documents and write, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code.
- Drive project and release plans in partnership with stakeholders and guide other engineers through playbooks and operational practices.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement cloud automation and optimization solutions to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.
- Drive code and design reviews and share technical learnings across engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 4+ years of technical experience, or a master's degree and 2+ years of technical experience, or equivalent experience.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph, plus required Microsoft, customer, and government screening.
- U.S. citizenship and citizenship verification are required for the supported government customers.
- Preferred: doctorate degree and 3+ years, master's degree and 6+ years, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant technical experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.
- Preferred: experience writing automation scripts and functional programming code using Python, JavaScript, or Shell scripting.
- Preferred: expertise in product architecture, code, features, operations, availability, security, quality, observability, reliability, efficiency, or performance.
- Preferred: experience driving engineering code and design reviews and sharing recommendations across teams.
- Preferred: knowledge of distributed systems and highly effective written and oral communication skills.
