Responsibilities

  • Own service and integration architecture for AI platforms and enterprise systems with emphasis on security, cost efficiency, and operability.
  • Design reusable infrastructure-as-code modules, automation frameworks, and policy-as-code systems.
  • Lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvements across teams.
  • Design secure, compliant, and scalable integrations between internal platforms and enterprise SaaS systems.
  • Define SLOs and implement observability through telemetry, synthetic testing, and alerting.
  • Drive automation and SaaS integration best practices, toil reduction, and adoption across teams.
  • Design operational flows, runbooks, escalation paths, and self-service resources that reduce dependencies.
  • Forecast infrastructure capacity and costs and provide data-driven investment recommendations.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and establish scalable documentation and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or enterprise systems engineering, or 3+ years with a master’s degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field; a technical degree is preferred.
  • Hands-on design experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM.
  • Experience owning infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform, Pulumi, or an equivalent tool, including reusable modules and policy-as-code.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar programming language, with experience reducing operational toil, forecasting capacity, and making cost-aware recommendations.
  • Experience designing SaaS or enterprise-system integration architectures with lifecycle management, security controls, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience defining SLOs and engineering observability solutions involving telemetry, synthetic testing, and alerting.
  • Working knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agentic systems, AI-assisted operations, guardrails, governance, and production monitoring.
  • Experience administering or integrating enterprise AI copilot and knowledge-assistant platforms, including access controls and data integration.
  • Experience owning service or integration architecture from inception through production and making security and operability decisions.
  • Strong technical communication skills, including architecture decision records, design documents, and runbooks.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with Glean, ServiceNow, Salesforce, platform standards, golden paths, mentorship, infrastructure open source, AI-enabled operational workflows, and FinOps practices.
