Base Salary
$94k - $142k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and optimize complex Java and Spring Boot middleware applications.
- Architect database interactions with Oracle, SQL, and MongoDB, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Develop APIs and microservices and drive reliable CI/CD delivery practices.
- Use AI tools for code generation, architecture validation, testing, vulnerability scanning, troubleshooting, documentation, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with product management, QA, operations, users, clients, and other technology groups to define and deliver solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers and provide technical guidance and coaching.
- Research AI technologies and identify opportunities to improve developer productivity and software quality.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and support application stability, monitoring, incident response, and operational processes.
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, feasibility studies, risk assessments, estimates, and development lifecycle planning.
- Recommend and develop application security measures and support compliance with operating standards.
Requirements
- Strong Java knowledge, including multithreading, collections, garbage collection, and JVM internals.
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience designing and developing APIs and microservices.
- Strong SQL proficiency and experience with Oracle databases, schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
- Experience with MongoDB data modeling, querying, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Maven or Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Git and standard branching strategies such as Gitflow.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, unit testing, and integration testing.
- Familiarity with SOAP, XML, and JSON web services.
- Practical experience with Devin, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Anti Gravity, and Codex.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, prompt engineering, and integrating AI into software development workflows.
- Ability to provide technical mentorship, perform complex analysis, and advise on application development and operational issues.
