Base Salary
$200k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the engineering roadmap and architecture for an agentic AI platform covering evaluation, training, self-learning, and production serving.
- Architect large-scale evaluation infrastructure with isolated sandboxed execution, recreatable environments, verifiable scoring, and reproducibility at hundreds of concurrent trials.
- Build and scale reinforcement learning and post-training systems for 256K+ token contexts, multi-turn trajectory training, train/inference consistency, and long-session reward attribution.
- Design serving and inference architecture for long-session, output-generation-bound agentic traffic, including KV-cache-centric optimization.
- Establish engineering standards through design reviews, operational excellence, and technical deep dives.
- Translate ambiguous product and science requirements into platform interfaces and influence build-versus-adopt and ownership decisions.
- Mentor and grow senior and principal-track engineers across multiple teams.
Requirements
- 12+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Preferred: experience designing and building large-scale systems in a multi-tiered, distributed environment using service-oriented architecture.
