Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for autonomy and UI applications.
- Build scalable infrastructure for functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing across distributed software and hardware environments.
- Create and maintain GitLab CI pipelines using YAML and shell scripting for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Develop Python workflow automation tools for test execution, reporting, environment setup, and developer productivity.
- Develop UI and API test automation using Go and TypeScript.
- Create test harnesses, simulators, stubs, and mocks for simulated and hardware-in-the-loop verification.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, improve test coverage and execution speed, and support root-cause isolation.
- Collaborate with software, autonomy, simulation, and systems engineering teams on verification strategies and software quality.
- Develop validation solutions for safety-critical and mission-critical aerospace software.
- Build AI-assisted engineering and intelligent automation workflows for test generation, failure triage, log analysis, debugging, and workflow orchestration.
- Document test frameworks, automation workflows, CI/CD infrastructure, and validation procedures.
- Support release qualification and traceability between requirements, tests, and verification results.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building scalable automation frameworks or developer tooling in Python.
- At least 5 years of experience with package management, dependency management, and build systems using tools such as conan, pip, setuptools, poetry, and nix or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience building automated log collection, analytics, reporting, and failure-triage tooling.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous and concurrent programming in Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI, YAML, and shell scripting.
- Experience testing distributed systems, backend services, APIs, and web-based UIs.
- Familiarity with modern test frameworks, automated validation strategies, and software quality methodologies.
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience integrating Python with native C/C++ libraries and applications through bindings, wrappers, subprocess interfaces, or interoperability tooling.
- Preferred proficiency with Go and/or TypeScript, experience with C++ development or testing, and experience in aerospace, robotics, autonomy, safety-critical software, simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, or embedded system testing.
