Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of reliable, high-performance production software architectures in Rust.
- Architect and verify system controllers on ARM SoCs, including user-space drivers for complex peripherals and low-latency data acquisition pipelines.
- Implement and optimize control loops and precision algorithms for quantum sensing instruments.
- Lead board testing, hardware bring-up, hardware integration, and fault-tolerant error handling.
- Oversee core software libraries supporting control and automation of quantum systems.
- Lead technical code reviews and retrospectives, mentor junior engineers, and improve development processes.
- Collaborate with physicists, electronics engineers, firmware engineers, and hardware teams in a hands-on laboratory environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record in embedded or hardware-adjacent environments.
- Strong Rust software architecture and development experience.
- Ability to work hands-on in a laboratory alongside physical hardware and complex test setups.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across hardware, software, and physics disciplines.
- Preferred: extensive C/C++ experience or Python and scientific-library experience for data analysis and modeling.
- Preferred: expertise in PID loops, fixed-point digital filters, and advanced control algorithms.
- Preferred: experience with TCP/UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, SoC/FPGA architectures, Linux device drivers, and standard test and measurement equipment.
