Base Salary
$87k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and prototype tools that assist control room operators, outage coordinators, and operations and planning engineers.
- Develop operational awareness, analytical, data-display, and system-reliability tools for System Operators and engineers.
- Implement new tools and system changes in production environments with project teams.
- Investigate, evaluate, and benchmark new display and tool technologies.
- Develop vendor applications through software, process, and training changes.
- Prepare documentation and guidance for project deployments, training materials, and tool development.
- Develop test scripts and test the functionality of tools.
- Perform electrical engineering analysis, system studies, and analysis of simulated or actual operating results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent knowledge provided by a combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of job-related experience for Level 2, 3 years for Level 3, 5 years for Senior Engineer, or 8 years for Lead Engineer, beyond degree requirements.
- Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript, Vue.js, Angular, Python, C#, single-page applications, PL/SQL, SQL, VBA, or other scripting languages is preferred.
- Experience with mapping software such as ArcGIS or Mapbox is preferred.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working across front-, middle-, and back-end development is preferred.
- Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
