Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot incidents and identify systemic failures indicated by incidents or service failures.
- Implement fixes and propose solutions to reduce operational toil.
- Manage and deploy applications using Azure and Kubernetes.
- Use Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code tools to manage scalable infrastructure.
- Lead incident resolution, maintain documentation, and provide input to post-mortem analysis.
- Improve service request and change management processes through technical improvements and stakeholder management.
- Participate in security management processes and proactively mitigate vulnerabilities in code, infrastructure, and dependencies.
- Lead client-facing discussions about SRE processes and opportunities to expand the SRE footprint.
- Engage with suppliers and third parties regarding support, requests, and opportunities.
- Use CI/CD and monitoring tools to support reliable service delivery.
Requirements
- 3–9 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related discipline.
- SRE Foundation certificate from the DevOps Institute and an associate-level certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP, either at hire or completed during the probationary period.
- Proficiency in Azure and Kubernetes, including hands-on application management and deployment.
- Expertise in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and scalable infrastructure management.
- Commercial experience with at least one core technology such as .NET, Java, AI/Data Engineering, or Golang.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, Azure Monitor, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Preferred Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Application Developer certification.
- Preferred Certified Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
- Preferred familiarity with Harness for continuous delivery and deployment.
- Preferred strong programming skills in .NET, Java, or JavaScript.
