Base Salary
$130k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, deploy, and enhance backend software using languages such as Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, TypeScript, and .NET.
- Develop and maintain Java applications using the Java Development Kit and backend frameworks.
- Resolve software problems and customer complaints and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Design, test, document, and train users on software, including desktop design and application documentation.
- Implement security lockdowns, role-based access controls, multi-level security capabilities, and integrations with standard software packages.
- Automate application and configuration deployments, updates, patching, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate across multiple teams and contribute to program deliverables and performance metrics.
- Follow applicable safety, quality, operational, environmental, and customer-contract procedures.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience, within the stated 5–8-year range, developing, testing, and deploying software.
- Experience with backend software development using Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, TypeScript, or .NET.
- Experience developing Java software with current Java Development Kit versions and backend frameworks.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes, Agile development, software design patterns and antipatterns, and development tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems engineering, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or additional experience substituted for the degree.
- Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance adjudicated within the last five years or designated CE, with the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
- AWS Solutions Architect–Associate certification is required at minimum; AWS SysOps Administrator–Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer–Professional certification is also required.
- Preferred qualifications include DoD ATO or FedRAMP experience, DISA STIG compliance knowledge, PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS experience, Keycloak or equivalent OIDC/SAML identity-provider integration, AWS Security–Specialty certification, and AWS, ITIL Foundation, or related certifications.
- Preferred experience includes Git, GitLab, Terraform, Splunk, HashiCorp Vault, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible, Amazon Web Services GovCloud, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux.
