Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions emphasizing APIs, microservices, Kafka, and backend systems.
- Process streaming data and build real-time event-processing solutions using Kafka or similar technologies.
- Build Change Data Capture automation and data synchronization pipelines using JSON-based services.
- Own the software development lifecycle and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver maintainable software.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience developing applications or microservices with Java, Python, and Kafka.
- At least 3 years of hands-on REST API development experience.
- Proficiency with backend languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and working with Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms, SMS, and dead-letter queues.
- Strong knowledge of Change Data Capture strategies and implementation.
- Familiarity with JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats.
- Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting using shell or Python.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source-control tools such as Git.
- Preferred experience with PeopleSoft, EBS, SAP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, large-scale transaction or payments systems, and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
